Nancy Bourn is the owner and founder of Trend Setters.  With a business degree and a certificate in Hospitality and Tourism, Nancy has found her true love as the owner and chief hair designer at Trend Setters.  For more than 22 years Nancy has been committed to excellence in the clients she serves.  She lends her creativity, knowledge and expertise to each client.  Nancy specializes in razor cutting the latest styles.  She is a color specialist and the team leader for all color work in the shop.  Many people seek her out for corrective color. 

Nancy is very active in the Kernersville community.   She is passionate about serving and utilizing her leadership and insight to make a positive impact on the local community.  She is involved in the Kernersville Chamber of Commerce, Kernersville Business Association, Kiwanis, and Next Step Ministries. For more than 8 years, Nancy and the Trend Setters team have provided haircuts and styling services to the Battered Women’s Shelter.

Emily Cooke is one of the hair stylists at Trend Setters.  She started Cosmetology as a junior in high school.   She loves to do cuts, color highlights and Keratin Smoothing Style.  She spends a lot of personal time attending cut and color classes and hair shows. In her free time, Emily loves spending quality time with her husband and daughter, being outside, kickboxing, and taking trips to the beach.

Charlene Nelson is living her childhood dream to be a hair stylist.  In visits with her grandmother to the hair salon, she experienced the fun atmosphere, exciting talk, and beautiful styles that are the foundation for her work at Trend Setters.  As a hair stylist for 20 years, she loves every aspect of hair work.  She specializes in razor cutting, cutting, and color highlights. She loves spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoys music, talking and cutting-up.  Often, you will hear her say “life is too serious without having fun!”

Amanda Parham Shelton has been a stylist at Trendsetters since she graduated Cosmetlogy school in 2006 and cannot imagine her life without it. She enjoys all forms of color services and cuts, highlighting and low lighting for all ages.  Amanda specializes in helping you create a look and style that will fit your face and personality.  Additionally, she works with you to insure you will be able to maintain your style at home. Amanda enjoys being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and expanding her knowledge in the cosmetology industry!

Tracie Whitley is a 2000 graduate from Leon’s Beauty School.  She readily admits anything about hair is her main interest.  She specializes in highlighting, color and cutting. Tracie enjoys photography, art galleries, coffee shops, road trips, doing updos & waxing, going to continuing education to learn about the latest trends, playing with her dog Buddy, hanging out with friends, family and the team from Trend Setters.

Jennifer Walker has combined her business degree from Appalachian State University and years of cosmetology experience to provide exceptional service to her clients.  She has a special interest in color and cuts.  She enjoys Keratin hair straightening, waxing, and special occasion updos including extensions. Jennifer is an active participant in the local community and volunteers at variety of organizations and events.

Sue Pannell is our team as the Nail Technician for Trend Setters. She has been doing nails for over 13 years and loves to provide her customers with one-on-one personal attention. Her years in the business, and the training she has received, has provided her with the skills necessary to master all areas of nail care, either natural, acrylic or gel. She loves trips to the beach or mountains, and spending time with her family.

Tabitha Fletcher is a graduate from Leon's Beauty School. Her specialty are cuts, color and perms. She enjoys taking classes in our field, whether it is color or cutting classes. Most of all she enjoys making people happy. She has a son that she spends alot of free time with and other family members. For fun she enjoys zumba, vollyball, tennis and hanging out with friends and family.

Samantha Walker - After years of training and practicing with hair, Samantha joins Trend Setters. She has worked in a few salons and does all types of hair, including hair cuts, color and updos. She grew up in Maryland and now finds herslf in our community. Samantha looks forward to taking care of the people in Kernersville.
